The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies in one of five elegant rooms inside the house (up to 60 guests), outside the Walled Garden or Avenue (unlimited guests), or anywhere else on the grounds. For marquee weddings, the lawn at the front of the house makes an excellent spot with the backdrop of the Georgian house, hills on one side and the sea on the other. The Walled Garden at the side of the venue offers a delightfully sheltered spot for drinks receptions among the many exotic plants. 

At Smedmore House, the team prides itself on planning intimate weddings too. They understand the need for smaller celebrations and have various options available to cater to them.
