Set in the heart of Christchurch, this cosy Georgian boutique hotel boasts a wealth of charm. The perfect coastal Dorset retreat enjoys fabulous views of Christchurch Castle, the town’s priory and the River Avon.

Blending traditional character with contemporary designs, The Kings Arms has 20 luxury rooms and is home to foodie heaven The Kings Arms Restaurant. Opposite the main hotel building, the venue has its own traditional bowling green and a picture-perfect pavilion, which has been lovingly restored and transformed into a beautiful New England-style wedding space. The area is bright and airy, thanks to the French doors that open on to a private veranda allowing the sunlight to flood in as couples exchange vows surrounded by up to 96 people.

Afterwards, couples can stroll across the lawns for relaxed drinks receptions and enjoy some outdoor garden games. For private celebrations, the Kings Priory Suite  ideal. Complete with a bar and dancefloor, there’s plenty of room for evening celebrations with as many as 120 loved ones.

We love… that the venue hire also includes use of the private dining room for post-wedding breakfasts for those that want to linger longer.

Manchester has emerged as the UK's 'prenup capital', with 13 percent of divorced couples having one in place, compared to 8 percent in London and 11 percent in Birmingham. Meanwhile, cities including Liverpool and Southampton reported no uptake among those surveyed.

As someone who has coached over 1,300 women into healthy, committed relationships and marriages through my Love Success Framework, I can tell you this: the way you handle wedding planning is often a preview of how you will handle marriage.
