5 songs to avoid on your big day
On top of organising flowers, dresses, venues and speeches, choosing the music for your wedding is yet another...
Hampshire-based wedding planner Siân Bowron is on a mission to make your big day not only memorable, but as eco- and vegan-friendly as possible.
After launching Amethyst Weddings in 2012 Siân has helped many couples plan their dream wedding. Now she's looking to develop a new side to the business planning vegan weddings and has rebranded with a fresh new logo to promote the service.
"In 2017 I decided to make a lifestyle change and started enjoying a vegan diet, this was a natural progression for me as I'd been a vegetarian since the age of 13. Along with the obvious dietary changes veganism comes with a lot of ethical choices with particular consideration for our environment," she explains.
"I decided that I wanted to use my personal experience and journey over the last two years to offer vegan ethical weddings as part of my wedding planning service. I've already made a lot of contacts with suppliers and I can't wait to start. Just making some simple changes when planning a wedding can help the environment. Recycling or repurposing items to include in your wedding décor prevents items being added to landfill and avoiding single-use plastics can prevent damage to wildlife. Small things really can make a difference," she adds.
Siân will still be offering her normal wedding planning service but eventually hopes to become an exclusively vegan wedding planner.
