Brits still going ahead with life goals - especially marriage!

Mother-of-the-bride and -groom specialists Boutique at No6 has celebrated its first year at its new home in Dorchester. Located on the on the Prince of Wales' Poundbury Estate just outside the town centre for three-and-a-half years, the business relocated to the town's Antelope Walk in late October last year."Antelope Walk is steeped in history and my new shop has such character and beautiful windows to display my stunning mother-of-the-bride collections," says owner Sandra Skinner. "I've always been extremely passionate about dressing ladies for such a special occasion. My aim is to ensure that every customer leaves my boutique feeling more positive about themselves and confident that they look and feel fabulous in their chosen outfit."

Paws for thought – why having a ‘pet-nuptial’ agreement is the ultimate preparation

Couples who have adopted a pet during the pandemic can save themselves the unnecessary heartache of losing shared pets by arranging a 'pet-nuptial' agreement in case – obviously here at County Wedding Magazines HQ we truly hope it's not the case – of future separation with their partner. For custody of furry friends, there is currently no official legally binding measures in place for what happens to pets after a breakup. Legally a pet is seen as an asset, and as with any assets in a divorce, ownership will be decided by the court - however having a prearranged agreement in place, commonly known as a prenuptial agreement, can assist the court to make a decision.

Hampshire business lights up a TV-first

Winchester-based Twilight Trees made a stellar appearance in E4's Made In Chelsea show as it aired its first-ever wedding on TV. Stars of the reality series Ollie Locke and his fiancé Gareth finally tied the knot after months of delays, just hours before the country went into lockdown for the second time.Held at The Natural History Museum in London, it was the venue's first ever gay wedding and only the second civil ceremony to be held at the prestigious venue. Twilight Trees was given the task of creating a 'room within a room' for the event which took place in the stunning Hintze Hall with just 13 guests.

Hampshire-based jewellery designer Vicki Rawles has been putting her time in lockdown to good use updating her website www.pearlescentjewellerydesigns.co.ukA specialist in beautiful bridal pearls, with many of her customers cancelling their big day due to COVID-19, she's been working on refining and launching her new-look site ready for all the weddings to come.With more than 20 years in the creative industry Vicki has developed her jewellery-making skills to specialise in bespoke silver pieces including bridal jewellery and accessories combining beautiful freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals. "The pearls I use are not always uniform and have their own original features which makes every piece I design unique," she adds.
