Involving your four-legged friend on your wedding day? Are they taking...
If you've neglected your usual beauty regime over the summer, now is the time for autumn brides-to-be to start prepping for the big day. Hampshire beauty expert Lucy Bernier shares some top tips to help get you on track.
* Drink plenty of water!
* Exfoliate once a week with a gentle cream such as Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel; great for reviving tired, lacklustre skin.
* Cleanse twice daily using Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm to give your skin a natural healthy glow.
* Hydrate with a water-based moisturiser such as MAC Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Gel for a supple luminous effect.
* To prevent your lips from drying or flaking, use a balm regularly. Burt's Bees Overnight Intensive Lip Treatment works wonders while you sleep.
* Bronze eyeshadow is a super classy and sassy shade for autumn brides and looks good on pretty much anyone. Make the NARSissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette your new BFF, the 12 buttery matte, satin and metallic shades provide amazing colour pay-offs and suit all skin tones.
* If you're brave enough to rock a red lip for your big day be sure to pare back the eyes to ensure your make-up looks classically beautiful and not too over the top. My favourite autumnal red at the moment is MAC Diva or for a more budget-friendly option try Maybelline Divine Wine.
* Fresh skin is in! If you're already blessed with an amazing complexion and just want to even out blemishes then MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation is great. If you prefer fuller coverage, my go-to product at the moment is NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation.
* Light it up! Top your base off with a natural glow for extra youthful-looking skin. I like to use a liquid product for this and the Iconic London Illuminator in Blush gives a lovely rosy sheen. You can add it to your foundation for a lit-from-within look but personally I like to apply it to the high points of the face with a brush. Beware though, less is more when using this product, a little goes a very long way!
