Christmas winter wedding music
Getting married at Christmas doesn't mean that you have to plan a Christmas-themed wedding. Here, roaming band The Travelling Hands, suggest songs that would work well for a Christmas winter wedding and the songs to avoid! When it comes to music, the same rule applies. Just because you want to get married at Christmas it doesn't mean that your musical playlist has to be full of Wizzard & Cliff Richard if you don't want it to be there. When our acoustic roaming band The Travelling Hands perform at winter weddings we see a wide variety of decisions when it comes to Christmas songs. Some want to embrace the Christmas classics - adding these into their day. Others like a few placed in here and there, whilst some want to just stick to their favourite songs without any Christmas numbers added in at all.

Professional singer Alice Manville is going to be performing on Saturday 24th July
Originally from Liphook in Hampshire, my passion for the stage began at three years old when I took on my first role as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother," says Alice. "I danced for many years covering many styles including jazz, ballet, modern, tap, contemporary and many different musical theatre roles. From a young age, I have been a performer and no stranger to the stage, however, after fulfilling a year at a professional dance school, studying musical theatre, it became more apparent that my passion truly lay with singing. Since leaving my teenage years of studying and training, I went to Greece to be a 'Soul Diva' for six months. I was then the lead singer of the function band on P&O's The Pride of Rotterdam, followed by being the lead vocalist of a singing group for the Iberostar hotels in Fuerteventura doing an Abba tribute, Hollywood hits show and broadway's best.

The UK’s Favourite First Dance Songs As Wedding Size Limits Lift
From the 21st June, limits on wedding sizes lifted and couples across the country will be getting their wedding playlists ready, but what could be more important than the first dance song - especially for the next four weeks when this dance it the only one allowed! Selecting a song which has meaning to the special couple can be tricky. Many couples know that whatever song they choose will go on to forever be known as 'their song', which adds pressure to making the right choice. It's perhaps then no surprise that there are almost 1,000 first-dance dedicated playlists on Spotify to help couples choose, but which songs are the most favoured?
New data analysed by five-star hotel, The Grand, York has revealed the most popular songs to play during a first dance in 2021. Analysing over 57,000 songs on Spotify, the current top ten list has been revealed, and the results might just be surprising. Securing both first and third place is the hugely successful Ed Sheeran and taking second, is 2021 X Factor winner, James Arthur.
