Pylewell Park, Lymington is about to enter a whole new chapter in its rich history, as it prepares to launch as a magical wedding venue.
Steeped in history the 17th-century estate is home to the Hon David and Melanie Roper-Curzon. The majestic house is surrounded by parkland with unrivalled views across the Solent. With many original features, a newly refurbished bridal wing has recently been completed and the owners have applied for a ceremony licence.
With the grandeur of the house, the sea as a backdrop, as well as expansive gardens and a 15-acre lake to boot, it promises to be a wow-factor big-day setting. The permanent wedding pavilion will be where the original ballroom once stood, complete with bar, dancefloor and lounge, and capacity for up to 150 guests for a sit-down wedding breakfast plus an extra 50 for the evening do.
Building work is also underway on a wedding gazebo outside within the balustrade of the main house.
