Surrounded by 66 acres of grounds, Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens in Hampshire is inviting visitors to explore its vast landscapes at the next National Gardening Scheme open day, on Sunday 7th October.
Not only a grand building for wow-factor weddings, Tylney Hall's magnificent outside spaces were designed by renowned 19th-century garden architect and designer Gertrude Jekyll. Still undergoing a complete restoration after being purchased by Elite Hotels in 1985, the team is painstakingly returning each garden to its former glory.
With a range of delightful blooms to discover while strolling through the estate, highlights of Tylney Hall's gardens include a rose garden, azalea garden, Italian garden and water garden; perfect for those all-important wedding photos.
One of the most impressive views of the gardens is lined by grand Redwood trees, stretching out from the mansion house to the Hampshire countryside – a full 14 miles of uninterrupted terrain.
You can also take in the amazing views by climbing Tylney Hall's ancient cedar tree, overlooking the Boathouse Lake; The experience is open to anyone from six years of age and upwards, bookable through The Great Big Tree Climbing Company.
The National Gardening Scheme is a charitable organisation raising funds for many of the UK's nursing charities. The entrance fee is £5 per person on the day with all proceeds going to the scheme.
