Royal Selangor showcases three new collections, Bar, Cosmos and The British Museum which are all the epitome of style with a unique offering; from whisky decanters which would make perfect gifts for the groomsmen, wine glasses for the big day toast, and homeware items for your big-day gift list!

Raising the bar

Royal Selangor's Bar collection introduces the streamlined retro-future aesthetic of the 1950s and 60s into contemporary cocktail culture – which makes for super-stylish entertaining at your wedding drinks reception, or why not add something from the range to your wedding day gift list? Inspired by geometric patterns the collection features sleek pewter lattices that add old-school sophistication to each of the items comprising whisky decanters, tumblers, martini glasses, champagne coupes, hip flask, measures and nut bowl.

Look to the stars

For the Cosmos collection Royal Selangor looked to our eternal cosmic skies for its latest wine glasses, perfect for all occasions, big and small. The Helix nebula is one of the most spectacular sights in space. Its swirling clouds are recreated in the pewter foot of the Nebula white wine glass. The patterns of bright stars and gas clouds that make up a spiral galaxy, like our own Milky Way are reflected in the Galaxy white wine glass, while eccentric orbits of comets are reimagined forming an elegant pattern at the base of the Comet red wine glass.

A historical romance

Inspired by the artefacts of The British Museum, the titular collection returns with more exciting new additions bringing the iconic Lewis chessmen trove, one of the most popular artefacts in the whole of the British Museum's collection to life. This trove even had a cameo role in the 2001 film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
The Lewis Chess Set features meticulously recreated replicas of the original chessmen selected from the museum's collection. Except for the pawns, which resemble upright slabs with elaborate scrollwork, the king, queen, bishop, knight and rook all wear vivid facial expressions, which almost resemble real people.
The chessmen motifs are also reinterpreted into contemporary tableware and drinkware that add a touch of character to any décor setting in the home. Sinuous serpents in pewter, taken from a bishop chess piece, coil around a half-pint glass fashioned as a drinking horn. The unhinged expression of a berserker, a fierce Norse warrior biting his shield is meticulously recreated on a salt shaker. Other items include a bottle stopper, tankard, pepper shaker and votive.
