Weddings in 2020 are set to be greener than ever. Not only are sustainability and eco credentials high on the priority list, but verdant colour schemes, foliage and natural greenery are trends that just keep on growing.
More and more couples are looking to reduce the carbon footprint of their day, sourcing local produce and suppliers close to home to cut down on travel miles. Plastic-free weddings are on the rise, with growing emphasis on recyclable materials and planet-friencly products.
Love for natural greenery continues to flourish, bringing the outside in with trailing leafy garlands, foliage arches, living plants and trees lit with fairylights.
Hampshire-based expert Nia Bradley-Hobb of LuvShifting says, "The main trend for 2020 is sustainability and cutting down on waste coupled with using more foliage. A great way to do this is to use as many plants as possible to decorate your venue. Not only will they look great they can be taken home at the end of the day by you or your wedding guests as a great gift and memento of the day. You could even plant them and create a wedding garden."
