Great Barn Weddings

Located in the heart of the Titchfield Conservation Area, Grade 1 listed The Great Barn is surrounded by fields with a long sweeping drive leading to the barn doors from the main road. With boxed flower beds recently planted outside the barn and beautiful rose gardens to the side and on the front lawns; it’s a picturesque country setting.

The Medieval, timber-framed aisled barn has been altered over the years, yet still retains a wealth of original features, including the distinctive and beautiful timber roof that contributes much to the internal appeal of the barn.

Wedding ceremonies take place on the impressive renovated oak stage with its hayloft backdrop and raked seating, which provides the perfect view for family and friends as they watch you say ‘I do’.

Post-vows, everyone can relax, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a chilled drinks reception in the secluded garden area before heading back inside for the wedding breakfast. Receptions for up to 170 loved ones can be hosted at the southern end of The Great Barn For the all-important photos, as well as the lovely rose gardens, Titchfield Abbey is only next door and is available for couples to use as a landmark backdrop.

Some have links to the military, a keen interest in the subject or ties to the local area. The variety of settings and the expertise we have at the museum means we can offer a completely tailored experience.

Bridal tanning tips and advice from luxury tanning brand, That'so

Everyone wants to look their best on their wedding day and for brides in particular, this is the day you want to look and feel the best version of yourself – your hair, skin and full wedding outfit looking perfect. Tanning can be a scary thing for brides running up to the big day, where you can feel unsure what tan to apply and how to apply it so that it looks flawless and is in no way patchy. It's easy to be put off in the fear it'll rub off onto the wedding dress, however, when prepped and applied correctly, a self-tan can look incredible, giving you a gorgeous sun-kissed glow for your big day.
