Kiri Zainal and Ben Humpage met in July, 2012 at the London College of Beauty Therapy where they both worked. She was a lecturer and he was the deputy head. “When I came bowling into the office after celebrating my birthday in Barcelona, the first person I bumped into was Ben,” remembers Kiri.
They went on their first date a few months later, wining and dining in London followed by a stroll down the Southbank where they shared their first kiss outside Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Ben popped the question nearly two years later during a romantic overnight stay at the Chewton Glen Hotel in the New Forest. “He proposed in the outdoor spa at sunset. It was absolutely stunning and such a memorable moment,” Kiri recalls.
